Hydrangeas & Love in the Midst – A Great Combo
Hydrangeas are the perfect summer flower for weddings. Here in Seattle, this IS the flower of choice for the entire month of July. But when combining with other flowers to create a bridal bouquet, it can get tricky. This weekend, I combined hydrangeas, love in midst (Nigella), Delphinum, Tweetia and
some bling to form an elegant bridesmaid look. All of these flowers are tender, but they looked stunning paired together.
80 degrees and above
It’s finally summer in Seattle. When it gets over 80 degrees during our typically dry months of July and August, Lollie Fleur recommends watering your garden pots every day. And, hanging baskets twice a day. Plants have tender roots and will quickly wick up water stored in wet soil. As we enjoy these warmer days, be sure to water frequently. Your plants will love you, and your neighbors could have a case of jealousy when your potato vine is busting at the seams.
